I. All minutes and required documents confirmed as received by HC, we await administration grant(s).

5. Planning.
I. Two different communications have been received regarding the repositioning of a new house to be built at the Glebe in Onich. The consensus of everyone at the meeting is that rules should be adhered to in any official capacity from an official body and the CC has a duty to oversee that this happens on behalf of our community.

6. Matters arising.
I. Village Hall – meeting changed to the 14th of Aug at Oak Cottage, Onich.
II. NLCA – BBQ was success. Activity morning on Sunday 6th Aug. New Project development officer employed.
III. Inchree forestry road – DW met with Iain Jenner regarding impact of road on Barn project. Looking for funding options for a new road. We await the next meeting date. DW will work with CA going forward.
IV. Newsletter – Good feedback from community.
V. Cuilchenna notice board – ongoing.
VI. Website – BP is working on this and has established all the relevant links are present to have a functioning site. We would like to connect social media to keep everyone informed and provide links to other groups in our community, useful links, official bodies etc. BP will remove all outdated information. Everyone should have the google drive log in details, minutes will be uploaded and pre 2023 can be archived.
VII. Corran Ferry – There is a new action group, separate to the steering group. The action group is focused on the current situation and how to deal with the issues faced right now and our immediate future. DW has pointed out issues with the proposed temporary plan that has been released. DW is involved in the CC supporting our neighbouring communities through his presence at meetings. There are further delays in the return of the M.V Corran.
VIII. Residents’ concerns of misuse of land under Ballachulish Bridge – we have had no reply from landowner to our requests. DW will follow this up through the appropriate channels.
IX. Speeding in North Ballachulish – we have many concerns about the safety in the village. DW sent an email to PC Cooper stating our concerns. With HGV and PSV vehicles using the B863 and the proximity of the school, we have concerns for the coming weeks. BP will speak to MP Ian Blackford highlighting our concerns. MML will observe the traffic situation around St Brides when it reopens on the 15th of August.
X. Resurfacing works – DW will write to bear about the possible resurfacing in the village after it was noted all the markings on the surface indicating imminent works.

7. AOB.
I. Letter regarding litter picking. DW responded that due to road safety issues, litter picking beside the A82, particularly in groups isn’t viable.
II. Zoom – Due to changes on the platform we may need to create and pay for an account or use another platform. We will find out if the CA and Village Hall committees would like to spread the cost so all 3 groups can use. It will need to be decided if we wish to continue with Internet video calling meetings going forward.
III. LG opens her art studio on 19th – 27th August, everyone welcome.
IV. Alzheimer’s charity day – Ballachulish CA are having a “cuppa & cupcake day” on Friday 18th August at Ballachulish Hall from 12-3.30pm. Posters will be up getting involved. For people experiencing Alzheimer’s or caring for someone with Alzheimer’s, there will be advice on support available from 2 specialists attending on the day. There will be refreshments, soup, baking, a raffle and music by two talented local musicians.
V. Office bearers within CC – BP was elected Vice Chair at the AGM, for transparency reasons, he must declare this with his employer.
