- Election of Chairman
Karl Speirling was Proposed by Brian Pearson and Seconded by Lisa Glaze. Karl agreed to take on the role of Chairman until the next AGM.

- Minutes of Meeting held 5th September 2024
The Minutes of the Meeting held on 5th September 2024 were Proposed by Lisa Glaze and Seconded by Brian Pearson.
Matters Arising from Minutes
There were no matters arising from the previous Minutes.
- Action Points
- Glen Righ Hydro Scheme – MML and LG to obtain details for next Meeting.
- Newsletter – Following discussion it was agreed that the next edition of the Newsletter be circulated the third week in November to allow for details of Christmas activities etc to be included. Anyone wishing to include an article should forward this to MML. It was noted that Carol Rasmussen with the help of volunteers was taking over the Soup & Sandwich events in the Church Hall with the first one being held on Monday 21st October at 12.30pm. Anyone wishing to help / contribute should contact Carol on 07795 082920.
- Notice board – Perspex Door – KS agreed to look at the possibility of fixing a Perspex door to the Notice Board outside the Old Post Office.
- Police Presence at Meetings – Noted that MMD had circulated an e-mail update to all Members on 27/9/24 from PC Stephen Cooper, Glencoe Police Station which gave a detailed update of the policing situation in the area. It was noted PC Cooper hoped to attend the next meeting of the Community Council.
- Lochaber Place Plan – Following discussion it was agreed that the best approach would be for the Community Council to liaise with the Village Hall Committee, Community Association and other local groups to take this forward. It was further agreed that MML would contact the Highland Council to request that a member of Dot Ferguson’s Team come along to a future meeting to give guidance on the way forward and to advise on how best to get funding for a Consultant to assist the Community Council with producing a plan.
- Secondary Letting Licences – Noted the Chair would take this to the Alliance.
Community Website
Noted the new Community Council Website was now up and running and that EM was going to forward the last three Minutes to MML so they could be published on the new Website. MML agreed to organise the e-mail addresses for the Office Bearers.

LG confirmed that there was a balance of £3,522.32 in the NLCC Bank Account and that outgoings since the last meeting were the £50 squirrel money passed to the Community Association and £10 to the Nether Lochaber Church for the hire of the hall for last month’s meeting.

- Updates from NLCA and Hall Committee
NLCA
The Committee noted that Clara Barnett, Chair of the NLCA had resigned and that Ian Jenner who was the Vice-Chair had agreed to take on the Chair until the next AGM.
LG advised that the recent Gaelic singing event and nature walks had been well attended and that the Community Association were very keen to hold a Ceilidh again this year.
VILLAGE HALL COMMITTEE
Noted that a Christmas Raffle was being held to raise funds and tickets were now available from the Hall Committee. Anyone wishing to donate a raffle prize should give this to MML.

- Date of Next Meeting
It was agreed that the next meeting of the NLCC would be held on Monday 4th November2024 at 7.30pm in the Nether Lochaber Church Hall.
