The Minutes of the NLCC Meeting of 13th January 2026 having been circulated and there being no amendments. Approved – Proposed: EML, Seconded: MMD. 

  • Matters Arising from Minutes

Posters with QR codes are all made and will be put up this week at all village notice boards.Anyone in the community can scan the code and will be taking directly to the NLCC minutes.

  • Police Report: No representation present. 
  • Defibrillators – Fundraising

We have applied for a HC discretionary grant, we are awaiting any news. These defibrillators will be situated outside and accessible to anyone at any time located outside St Brides Primary and outside Roam West.

            Treasurers report: £2255.36

MacIntyre & Co paid £2572.00

ICO GDPR insurance/registration paid £47.00

CC Insurance is held with Zurich and to be paid by the end of March to the amount of £125.20

There is an account joined with the CC for the NL Flower Show, £41.07 is still in this account. We have agreed to approach the previous organisers of the show to find out more with a view to resurrecting it.

  • Village Hall– Update

The NLVH is now a 2 tier SCIO. Applications will be ready shortly for members to join. Soup & Sandwich is next on Monday 16th February and every 3rd Monday of the month. There is a coffee morning planned for Saturday 2nd May from 10am – 2pm. The next VH meeting is on Thursday 19th February at 7.30pm. 

  • AOCB 

MMD- Lochaber Redesign Option Appraisal, there is a drop-in which includes the replacement of the Belford hospital on 12th February to see the drawings of the proposed hospital. Balfour Beatty, NHS and the Architect of the new Belford will all be present.

CB- had been asked by a member of the community about a local place plan for Nether Lochaber. It was explained that the matter had been discussed at several meetings and CB undertook to pass this on and to gather more information/read previous discussions on the subject.

Corran Ferry aims to have online ticket sales by summer 2026.

We acknowledged the minutes of the Corran Ferry Steering group on 27th January 2026.
